My 22 week Bump Update

“Your baby is the size of an aubergine and now nearly weighs a whole pound. Eyelashes and eyebrows are forming and the baby can now hear your voice, heartbeat, your circulating blood and even a gurgling hungry stomach!”

RED DRESS (YOU CAN BUY HERE)

How far along: 22 weeks exactly

Days until due date: 126 days

My bump: I finally starting to protrude a little. I can't wait until I actually start to have a bump and not just look like I over did it on the pies over Christmas!

Stretch marks? No, thank goodness. I am lathering myself with Clarins body oil every night before I go to bed. Neither of my sisters got them so lets hope the absence of stretch marks is hereditary.

Cravings: No cravings so far. So far my eating habits have remained the same as pre-pregnancy. I'm definitely trying to make healthier choices with my food too. I have to remember it is not just me now!

Sleep: Sleeping really well only I take toilets breaks which I never did pre-pregnancy. I used to sleep on my stomach which I have had to adapt to not sleeping on anymore.

Symptoms: I have had what can only be considered a dream pregnancy so far. I have had literally no symptoms bar tiredness.

Best moment this week: Getting the all clear from our Anatomy scan! Our sonographer was amazing and took the time to go through every stage of the scan. She even gave us a 3D scan of the little one.

Maternity clothes: I have a few low waisted jeans that still fit fine. I bought a pair of H&M jeans and basic tops in the sale in early January. Penneys now do a maternity range and they stock a UK size 6, which is great. So far I'm planning on wearing non maternity for as long as possible and just lean towards stretchy or flowy materials. My sister recommended as it is my first pregnancy to not feel bad about investing in staple pieces as hopefully I can reuse them!

Movement: Only in the past week and loads of it! I really wouldn't be surprised if the baby became an Irish dancer!

Gender: We decided not to find out the gender. Okay well I decided we weren't finding out the gender! As long as the baby is healthy it doesn't matter what it is. I am however loving the colour pink at the moment so maybe thats a sign of something!!

Belly button in/out: In and out!!

Wedding Rings on/off: On

Mood: Happy and relaxed. Getting my energy back. It starting to become real especially after seeing the little face on the 3D scan.

Looking forward to: Start organising everything for the baby. We were very superstitious and wanted to wait until after the anatomy scan. I get to have a shopping problem for two people now!!
