My Fairy Tale - Hair, Make up and the dress!!

I am gushing with excitement to finally share my wedding photos with you all. I have decided to separate this into a two separete blog entries because I have so much to share with you! had an amazing photographer, Peter from Fleeting Moments who discreetly captured so many special moments throughout the day. I could not recommend him highly enough for any brides to be looking for a wedding photographer. You can check his website out here or his Facebook page here.

I think most weddings start with the dress and mine was no exception. One piece of advice I would give is never to rule anything in or out before you search for your dress. I had initially wanted a princess style dress but when I tried one on it overwhelmed my small stature. I eventually stumbled upon my dress on a weekend visit to my sister in Virginia Bridal in Limerick. There were initially two dresses that we deliberated upon but this Mori Lee dress won my mom and my sisters heart's. I adored the lace detailing and back feature. I was so excited in the days leading up to the wedding to finally wear the dress I had been excited about for so long!

I was also very lucky to have two great ladies behind the scenes with me on the day of my wedding. Michelle Razazoli Stone aka Mrs Makeup (you can find her Facebook page here) did an amazing job on our faces and Lorraine Whelan from the Powder Room Girls did a great job on our hair. Both ladies were so patient and professional and did more than just paint our faces and curl hair. They both had a calming influence in such a highly charged atmosphere. Michelle was always on hand to offer advice throughout the day and it is no wonder why she has the name of Queen of Wedding Make up.

We all know the prep for the big day begins days if not weeks in advance! I had my colour done with Kevin and his team in The Company Hair Salon the Wednesday before my wedding. Kevin offered me so much advice on hair treatment (which I'm still following by the way Kevin!). We decided to keep it bright and long for the wedding day but discussed maybe going for a bit of a change the next time I go to him. Watch this space!!

I had my nails and tan done with Edel in Black Amber salon in Templeogue. I've attended Edel for years and with out a doubt she is the best beautician I have ever been to. She is such a perfectionist and always gets it right. The nail colour she used was Shellac "Winter Glow" and she used Californian Tan.

As I mentioned there will be a second post and I will share all our other venders I used including the venue, band etc all in the post next week.
