Hitting the Bottle!

It is safe to say that all lovers of beauty/fashion living in Ireland have heard of the success of Cocoa Brown tan. The award winning tan has enjoyed a spell of unprecedented success since its release in 2012. It has certainly become a permanent fixture in my own beauty regime ever since I first discovered it, not long after initial release in Ireland. Suffice to say, I have consistently used Cocoa Brown One Hour tan over the past number of years.

Given my affinity for the brand, I was super excited to be given the opportunity to try out some of the newer products on offer. Firstly, I decided to try Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze. This particular product is a gradual tanner which allows for a slow build up of tan while keeping skin hydrated in the process. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the lotion is slightly tinted. This excellently serves as a guide for superb application. I particularly liked the light floral fragrance that this product carried and importantly after a minute of soakage I was good to put on my pyjamas! The next morning I had an even, golden colour and my skin felt nicely moisturised.

Unfortunately I am sporting a few bruises on my legs currently (as an aside, I have no idea where they came from!!!). However, this presented me with the perfect opportunity to try the Cocoa Brown Lovely Legs spray.  I decided to try some the Lovely legs spray in combination with the gradual tanner and the two products worked extremely well in tandem. The spray is designed as a tanning makeup for legs which instantly affords a waterproof glow. I experimented with a little spray on my hand so I could get an idea of the consistency before I put it on my legs. Certainly a little goes a long way meaning the bottle is likely to last for a long time. Using the mitt to apply the spray, I was impressed with how easily it spread over my skin. Importantly and much to my delight the aforementioned bruises were well concealed.

Verdict

These products most definitely do not disappoint. My previous experiences with Cocoa Brown have always been positive and these products lived up to my high expectations. I can happily say that they will become a part of my regular beauty regime. The piece de resistance is the price. Both products are under €10, which is a reasonable price no matter what the budget. I am really looking forward to trying out the Cocoa Brown 1 Hour tan in Dark this weekend and I will update you next week with a review and photographs.

Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze €5.99 and Cocoa Brown Lovely legs €6.99

All these products are stocked in Irish pharmacies and selected supermarkets nationwide (Penneys, Dunnes Stores and Tesco). For a full list of worldwide stockets check out www.cocoabrown.ie
